SAIA's Quarterly Event (6/23/2022):

Climate Change - Energy Transition and New Geopolitical Realities

Dear SAIA Community,

We are excited to resume hosting our quarterly events in person. Increasingly visible climate change and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has highlighted multiple issues within the energy landscape including:

  • The need for energy independence as a security issue
  • The need to transition to renewable energy sources as quickly as possible and the significant hurdles related to building these projects
  • The need for innovation in the space given the supply constraints around materials (i.e. copper, cobalt, lithium, and other rare earth metals)
  • The necessity of natural gas as a transition resource

We have assembled a dynamic group of industry experts from infrastructure builders to macro-economic experts that can explain the evolving dynamics of energy independence and how it relates to long-term country security.
