SAIA's Quarterly Event (6/15/2023):

Tech: Exploring dislocations and opportunities in a rapidly evolving sector

Dear SAIA Community,

Please join us for our second event of the year on June 15th, focused broadly on the technology sector. After a long and pronounced bull market for technology companies, 2022 was a sharp reversal. Notably, public technology stocks, as proxied by the NASDAQ Index, had one of their worst calendar years on record, rivaling the financial crisis of 2008 and the years following the dot-com bubble of the late 1990s. The broader technology sector has felt ripple effects, with layoffs dominating the headlines, a more challenged fundraising environment, and limited opportunities for private company liquidity. We have assembled a panel of technology experts that will cover, among many things:

  • Recap of the driving forces behind the sizable recent selloff

  • New technology trends and the potential impact on the world. For example -what are the short-, medium-, and long-term impacts (and opportunities) of bringing AI to the masses?

  • How access to capital has changed in the new money paradigm

For more information and to register, please see below. We look forward to seeing you at the event!
