OFF THE RADAR: FINDING OPPORTUNITIES IN NICHE STRATEGIES

Across private, quasi-liquid, and public markets, emerging asset classes and niche strategies offer enticing return prospects and diversifying characteristics compared to “mainstream” alternatives. Electricity power trading, litigation finance, specialty lending, and royalties are just a few examples that have emerged in recent years.

Niche strategies often fly under the radar of larger allocators given their complexity, nascency, and constraints that limit their institutional scalability. However, they offer differentiated alpha sources in a world of complacency and high valuations.

Some of the most attractive deals lay outside of the realm of buyout, growth equity, venture, and real estate. While other opportunities can be uncovered in markets that are difficult to access and that are more hands on. Furthermore, unconventional income sources have emerged as a unique source of yield and stability.

Please join us for a night with our panel of expert allocators to review the landscape of niche strategies and their investment approaches.
